Media report deaths of three Mukhtarly’s relatives
Today, the sister of the Azerbaijani journalist Afghan Mukhtarly and his two nephews were found dead in Zagatala. Elshan Mukhtarly, Afghan’s brother said that the woman and two children got poisoned with gas.
There was another child in the house, who survived, Elshan has added.
The bodies were sent for examination; the exact cause of deaths has not yet been established, the APA reports.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" could not contact any of Afghan’s relatives.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 29, journalist Afghan Mukhtarly, who lived in Georgia since 2014, disappeared in Tbilisi. On the other day, he informed his advocate that he had been brought to Baku by force. On May 31, in Baku, the court pronounced the decision to arrest Afghan Mukhtarly.
