Snowboarders rescued in Sochi mountains
On December 27, rescuers used a helicopter to evacuate two snowboarders from Moscow who stuck among rocks in the area in Sochi, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) reports.
The tourists who found themselves beyond a trail of the "Rosa Khutor" resort appealed to rescuers. The snowboarders said they were stuck in the rocks with high probability of a snow avalanche and could not go down on their own.
The rescued tourists did not need medical care, the "Max-Portal" reports.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot has reported that a snowboarder died in the mountains of Sochi on December 16. A 26-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory fatally crashed at the "Rosa Khutor" resort.
