Today, power agents have completed the search for militants in the Babayurt and Kizilyurt Districts of Dagestan, launched on October 1.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the Babayurt and Kizilyurt Districts after the murders of two policemen. In the course of the CTO, four suspects of committing the murder were shot dead; a MIA employee was slightly wounded.

According to the "Caucasian Knot", the CTO regime was introduced in the Kizilyurt District for the second time since the beginning of the year, and in the Babayurt District – for the first time in 2017.

The CTO regime was cancelled in both districts today at 9:30 a.m. Moscow time "in connection with the completion of special activities to identify and detain members of illegal armed formations (IAFs)," the "Interfax-Yug" reports referring to its source from the Operative Headquarters of the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) in Dagestan.
