Man suspected of inciting a teenager to commit suicide detained in Volgograd Region

A social network user has been detained in the Volgograd Region after exchanging letters with a minor girl. He is suspected of inciting her to commit suicide, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

According to the MIA's information, the 23-year-old unemployed resident of the Volgograd Region exchanged letters with a 14-year-old girl from the Tula Region and incited her to commit suicide.

"It has been revealed that the criminal gave the girl tasks to be carried out unquestioningly and also created situations that hurt the minor girl's mind," reported Irina Volk, the spokesperson for the Russian MIA, as quoted by the TASS.

The court has pronounced the pre-trial restriction measure to the suspect in the form of detention in custody.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in February, a student from the Rostov Region was suspected of moderating a "death game" in a social network. According to the police information, the student used special hashtags to find players on the Internet and gave dangerous tasks, while she herself was a participant of the deadly game.
