Kuban residents shocked by information about 30 victims of cannibals

In Krasnodar, investigators are checking the information on 30 cases of cannibalism, which could have allegedly occurred in the city since 1999.

The law enforcement agencies detained a 35-year-old resident of Krasnodar and his wife on suspicion of murdering a woman and dismembering her body.

The suspect was detained after Krasnodar workers found his mobile phone. In the photos saved in the mobile phone's memory, the man posed with parts of a dismembered human body.

The information about dozens of victims, disseminated with reference to sources from the investigating and law enforcement agencies, caused a great public response. Some users of social networks note that the information has not yet been officially confirmed. However, residents of Krasnodar still criticize the police for inaction.

The city residents express their indignation about the fact that the police failed to start an investigation into the disappearance of a person until the suspect lost his mobile phone with photos of a dismembered body.

"People disappear, but [policemen do not care], they are only interested in the Navalny's office. They failed to find out that the killers are active in the city until the mobile phone with photos was brought under their noses," wrote Vladimir Skesov, a member of the "Typical Krasnodar" community in the social network "VKontakte".

Artyom Krasnodarsky shares his opinion and says: "Thanks [to the policemen] for being so active in counteracting Navalny's supporters. Meanwhile, the police do not care that people disappear, and the policemen do not even search for them," the Internet user wrote.
