Natives of Chechnya and Dagestan detained with weapons in Ukraine

A group of people, including natives of Dagestan and Chechnya, has been detained in the village of Chernobaevka in the Kherson Region. This has been reported today by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

On September 13, Ukrainian law enforcers carried out the operation, during which natives of Northern Caucasus were detained. In the course of a search in one of the residential houses in the Chernobaevka village, they found weapons and 36,000 US dollars.

The law enforcers detained eight people of 28-45-years-old who "acted under the guise of a patriotic organization of Ukraine," states the report published today on the website of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

According to the agency's information, the majority of the detainees are foreigners who stayed illegally on the territory of Ukraine. The report of the Ukrainian State Border Service does not disclose the exact number of the detained natives of Dagestan and Chechnya.
