Iowa recognizes the Armenian Genocide

Iowa has become the 47th US state that condemned the genocide of the Armenian people in the Ottoman Empire.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 19 the Armenian Genocide was recognized by the State of Texas.

The declaration on recognition of the Armenian Genocide was signed today by Kim Reynolds, the Governor of the Iowa State, the “Rusarminfo.ru” reports today citing the Armenian National Committee of America.

This year’s October was announced in Iowa to be a month of awareness about Armenia, the "News-Armenia" reports.

So far, the Armenian Genocide has not been recognized by the US states of Wyoming, Indiana, Alabama and Mississippi, the “Lragir.am” remarks.
