In Kabardino-Balkaria, people's enterprise complains about raiders' seizure of harvest
In the Urvan District of Kabardino-Balkaria, unidentified people seized a plum tree garden owned by Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) "People's Enterprise 'Morzokh'". This was claimed by local residents.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by residents of the Morzokh village that harvesting was started on July 21. According to estimates, 20 tons of plums are worth at least 500,000 roubles.
"Till present, no measures have been taken against people who seized the harvest," noted Zareta Takhusheva, the general director of the "People's Enterprise 'Morzokh'". She has also added that she is not aware who and where is selling the harvest.
In 2015, there was a conflict between shareholders and the director of the enterprise, who held the position of general director since 2000. On March 14, 2015, the shareholders decided to dismiss the general director. However, he believes that he retained his position and refers to the decisions of the shareholders' correspondence meetings. He continues concluding agreements for lease of a fruit-bearing garden.
"We are told that the person who picks up our plums has concluded an agreement to lease on our garden," said Beslan Ashinov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the CJSC "People's Enterprise 'Morzokh'".
Kanshoubi Nagoev, the oldest resident of the Morzokh village, described the situation as "robbery in broad daylight."
