Relatives report disappearance of two Dagestanis after their detention in Nalchik

Family members cannot find out the whereabouts of two residents of Khasavyurt, who disappeared immediately after being released from the police department in Nalchik.

According to a woman from Khasavyurt, on July 30, her husband Magomed Nasibov told her that together with his friend Nazhmudin Kurbangadjiev, also a resident of Khasavyurt, he would go to a mosque for a night prayer and after that he did not return.

"In the same evening, we learned that they were detained and they were in the police department of the city of Nalchik. According to our source, three persons were detained and brought to the police department, including my husband, his friend, and another person whose details are unknown to us," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Maryam, the wife of Magomed Nasibov.

According to the woman, at about11:00 a.m. on August 1, that third person called her and said that they had been released. However, Magomed Nasibov and Nazhmudin Kurbangadjiev did not return, Maryam noted.

"In the evening, the person who called me came and said that they had been released from the police department for the city of Nalchik. He said that he went after his car and when he returned my husband and his friend were already not at the place. He began to question the policemen, and they answered that they knew nothing about their whereabouts," the woman said.

According to her, the Magomed Nasibov's family members are going to hire an advocate to involve him in the search for the disappeared men.
