Author of political caricatures disappears in Georgia

Staff members from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Georgia try to locate Besik Dugashvili, an artist and cartoonist, who disappeared after his farewell message on Facebook.

On July 30, relatives of Besik Dugashvili filed a complaint to the police about his disappearance.

Several hours prior to his disappearance, on his Facebook page, Besik Dugashvili published a farewell message, in which he wrote that he "would leave for the place from where no one returned."

"I leave for a place from where no one returned. I've been weak and helpless in so many battles ... But I just wanted to live, I wanted to have a sweet family, a loving, understanding and strong spouse, and I wanted to be engaged in doing my favourite thing ... To enjoy the future built for children ... I wanted a calm old age ... Well, let me be the last ... Forgive me and mention me in your prayers. I leave! Your Besik (Tato) Dugashvili," wrote the artist.

In case of his discovery, members of his family ask to contact the police or the Emergency Management Agency, the "News-Georgia" reports.
