North Ossetian MIA denies Maryam Kachmazova's involvement in terrorism

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for North Ossetia has no data that Maryam Kachmazova, a native of North Ossetia, deported from Italy to Russia, and her husband Ali Bambataliev are involved in terrorist activities. This was informed by the North Ossetian MIA in response to the official request of the "Caucasian Knot".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 5, Maryam Kachmazova was detained in Italy for violating the rules of stay in the country. On July 7, the woman was deported to Russia. Her husband Ali Bambataliev was detained together with her, and the Italian authorities charged him with organizing a terror act in the European Union and also claimed he could be involved in the attack on the Press House in Grozny in 2014. In Italy, a prosecutor called Maryam Kachmazova a potential suicide bomber. However, the native of North Ossetia stated she was not involved in terrorist activities.

The law enforcement agencies of North Ossetia, where Maryam Kachmazova is currently being kept, do not have information about the reasons for her deportation from Italy. In response to the official request filed by the "Caucasian Knot", the North Ossetian MIA did not confirm or deny the Maryam Kachmazova's involvement in terrorist activities.

The FSB Department for North Ossetia also could not confirm or deny to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the version voiced by the Italian authorities about the Maryam Kachmazova's involvement in terrorist activities and referred to absence of such information.
