Suspect of killing Nazran resident detained

Law enforcers have detained a 32-year-old local resident suspected of killing a man in Nazran, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 27 in Nazran, according to a law enforcement source, a local resident's car was shelled from automatic firearms; the driver died. The source has suggested that it could be a blood feud killing. On July 28, the ICRF reported that the suspect had been identified and was being searched for.

According to the source, the detainee "was inclined to surrender and now gives confessions," the “Interfax-Yug” reports.

The source has specified that the detainee is a son of the woman "killed by bandits" in 2001.

"These circumstances have allowed law enforcers to assume that it was a blood feud murder," the medium quotes the source as saying.
