Political analysts doubt independence of new Chechen SC's Chairman
Alavdin Gardaloev, the new Chairman of the Supreme Court (SC) of Chechnya, is a man from the team of Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Republic's Parliament, Andrei Serenko, a political analyst, has stated. His colleague Ruslan Martagov believes that Gardaloev will act in the context of the position of the Chechen authorities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Alavdin Gardaloev, 53, the ex-head of the Gudermes City Court, was appointed to his post in June. While introducing him, the head of Chechnya has declared that "justice has triumphed."
Andrei Serenko, an expert of the Russian Society of Political Analysts (RSPA), believes that "Gardaloev is a man from the team of Magomed Daudov (also known as 'Lord')."
Ruslan Martagov has noted that "Gardaloev was chosen not by chance." "Should they have appointed a well-known person, he would have had his own opinion. Now, it will be vice versa," he said.
