"Sasna Tsrer" member placed into dungeon

Areg Kyuregyan, a defendant in the case on capture of a police regiment building in Yerevan, was transferred to a punishment cell for 10 days after a razor blade was found by him. This was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by advocate Musheg Shushanyan.

On July 12, the administration of a penitentiary institution reported that warders had found a razor blade while inspecting Areg Kyuregyan before his transportation to the court. The blade was hidden in a chewing gum.

"It is not allowed to carry a razor blade, and it was seized from Areg Kyuregyan," said an official from the Penitentiary Department of the Armenian Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

In the period from July 17 to July 31, 2016, in Yerevan, armed members of the unit "Sasna Tsrer", supporters of the "Constituent Parliament", kept a building of the patrol-and-post service police regiment with hostages. The charge in the case on the seizure of the building was brought against 47 persons.
