Navalny's office in Volgograd resumes work at new address
The Volgograd supporters of Alexei Navalny, who had been three times evicted from their rented premises, have rented an apartment in No.1 Chuikov Street for their office. The fourth move of the office took place today, said Alexei Volkov, the office coordinator.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Navalny's office in Volgograd was opened on March 24; and on May 5, Mr Volkov reported that the lease contract for the premises in the city centre was cancelled by the owner. Navalny's supporters moved to another premises; and on May 15, the office began working in the Voroshilov District, but on May 17, the owner broke the lease contract. On June 5, the office rented the premises at No. 11 Mira Street, but worked there for a little over a day.
Today, at midday, the office of Alexei Navalny began working in new premises, Alexei Volkov has stated, expressing hope that the owner of the fourth place will not drive the office out of the apartment. He also said that today policemen have searched the garage, rented by activists to store furniture.
"They were looking for printed products; they checked everything, found nothing, drew up a protocol and left," Alexei Volkov said.
