Two persons stay in hospital after fire at Tbilisi market (+video)

Four persons were injured in a fire at the "Eliava" market in the Georgian capital. Of them, two victims still stay in the hospital. According to the market's tenants, the fire affected 120 stores.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on July 2, a fire occurred at the "Eliava", one of the largest construction materials markets.

Four persons, including a member of the fire-fighting team, were injured in the fire. The fire fighter was provided by medical care at the place, and he was not hospitalized. Another man, who was injured by shards of shattered glass, got stitches on his wounds and then was discharged from the hospital. Two victims stay under medical supervision, the "News-Georgia" reports.

According to Mamuka Kirimeli, an official from the Service for Emergencies, the fire affected the area of about 2500 square meters.

The total area of the "Eliava" market is 10,000 square meters.
