Residents of Adygea complain about shortage of payments to flood victims
In Adygea, victims of the flood claim that the amount of 10,000 roubles got by them from the regional authorities is not enough to bring their houses in order. In total, 5000 people applied for financial assistance.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 24, several villages in the Koshekhabl District of Adygea were flooded, and on May 26, the emergency regime was introduced in the Shovgenov, Krasnogvardeisky and Ghiaghinsky Districts. According to the authorities, the damage from the flood is estimated in the amount of about 400 million roubles.
The victims of the flood in Adygea have confirmed the receipt of 10,000 roubles. However, according to them, the amount is extremely small to bring the houses in order.
"We are doing everything at our own expense. They only helped us to pump water out of the house and gave us 10,000 roubles, while we got damage here amounting to hundreds of thousands roubles," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Madina, a resident of the aul (village) of Khodz of the Koshekhabl District. In her yard, the flood destroyed the outbuildings, and the water entered the house and flooded the car in the garage.
According to Vyacheslav Lotakov, the chairman of the Committee for Civil Defence and Emergencies for Adygea, 9,080,000 roubles were allocated from the reserve fund by the Cabinet of Ministers for the Republic of Adygea to pay one-time material assistance in the amount of 10,000 roubles per family.
Vyacheslav Lotakov has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that all other payments are expected to be received from the federal budget and that on June 26, the necessary documents were sent to Moscow.
