Vladikavkaz higher school staff speaks against acting rector
At the election of the rector of the North-Caucasian Mining and Metallurgical Institute, over half of the ballot papers were spoiled. The staff of the higher school demands from the Ministry of Education of North Ossetia to approve the candidates nominated by the structural units of the institute, but not admitted to the election. Also, the employees ask not to leave Yuri Razoryonov in the position of acting rector, because they are not satisfied with his work.
On June 29, at the election of the rector, 54 delegates voted for Razoryonov, three votes were cast for Professor Ruslan Maksimov, and 68 ballots were spoiled, Olga Gassieva, an associate professor of the Division of Economics and Enterprise Management, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Part of the staff wants to see one of the institute employees in this post.
"For some reason, unknown to us, the Moscow's attestation commission rejected all the candidates nominated by our staff," Ms Gassieva said.
In this regard, the staff of the institute appealed to Russian President.
According to Gassieva, the conflict with the acting rector is on for two years already; and during this time "young employees began leaving the institute, while the number of professors has decreased."
