In Kuban, drunken teenager in Land Rover drives into a group of road workers, investigators report

In Krasnodar, one person was killed and five others were injured after an off-roader hit a group of road workers. Investigators believe that the vehicle was driven by a teenager in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

The road accident has occurred this afternoon in Dzerzhinsky Street in Krasnodar. According to the preliminary information, a 17-year-old teenager drove a Land Rover car without a driver's licence and hit a Gazelle vehicle and workers who were repairing the road, the press service of the Prosecutor's Office for the Krasnodar Territory reports.

One person died at the place of the road accident, and five other persons, including the suspected culprit of the road accident, were hospitalized. "Based on the results of the medical examination, alcohol was found in the blood of the minor," the website of the Prosecutor's Office for the Krasnodar Territory reports.

A criminal case has been instituted against the young man.

According to Alexander Nemna, the director of the Krasnoarmeisky DRSU (road repair and construction company), which employees were injured in the road accident, the Land Rover car was driven by a son of a former top-ranking law enforcer, the "Yugopolis" reports.
