Battalion of military police returns to Chechnya from Syria without losses

Soldiers and officers from the second military police unit sent to Syria in April have returned to Chechnya. Fighters from the military police unit performed military tasks in Syria for about three months, and no one suffered. This has been reported by the military commandant's office of the Chechen Republic.

In the evening on June 24, the soldiers and officers returned to the place of their permanent deployment at the Khankala military base.

"They were met by their relatives and military commanders, as well as officials from the Chechen authorities. The return of the soldiers and officers coincided with the end of the fasting month and the beginning of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, and they could celebrate it with their family members and relatives," the "Caucasian Knot" has been told today by an official from the military commandant's office of Chechnya.

The official from the military commandant's office found it difficult to report whether another military police unit would be sent to Syria in the near future to replace the soldiers and officers who returned home. Meanwhile, the military official did not rule out such a possibility.
