Azerbaijan allocates funds for construction in Chodjuk Mardjanly
About 5.334 million US dollars from the Azerbaijani President's Reserve Fund has been allocated for the construction of 100 houses in the village of Chodjuk Mardjanly, which is controlled by the Azerbaijani militaries since April 2016.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in January, Azerbaijani authorities allocated 4 million manats (about 2.15 million US dollars) for building houses and infrastructure in Chodjuk Mardjanly.
In February, de-mining of the village began. 200 families of forced migrants expressed their readiness to return to the village.
The village has 50 residential houses built, a school for 96 pupils, a mosque, an electrical substation and a hydrometeorological station. Also, communications are in place, and a road built, the "Azertadj" reports.
Today, President Ilham Aliev ordered to allocate 9 million manats (about 5.334 million US dollars) for the construction of other 100 houses in the village, as well as a kindergarten, a medical centre and other facilities, the APA reports.
The village of Chocjuk Marjanli (in Azerbaijani – Cocuq Mərcanlı – "Minor Mardjanly") is located in the south of the Jebrail District "near the troops contact line," the Wikimapia notes.
