Dagestani resident accused of attempted assault against law enforcer
A case against Ali Kveshov, a local resident, has been sent to the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan. He is accused of a number of crimes, including involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF), an attempt on life of a law enforcer, and robbery.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ali Kveshov was detained in Sogratl on April 18, 2016. After a policeman asked him to stop, he rushed to run. As a result, the policemen opened fire, and Ali Kveshov was wounded and detained. According to the law enforcers, Ali Kveshov is the leader of local militants, and he is involved in the murder of Magomedgadja Zaidov, the chief engineer of the agricultural company "Sogratl", committed on August 20, 2015.
According to public prosecutors, in 2013, Ali Kveshov entered an illegal armed formation in the Gunib District of Dagestan. In 2015, he illegally purchased and wore firearms. Meanwhile, he was involved in an attack on a police officer of the ROVD (District Interior Division) for the Gunib District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the investigators reports.
Besides, Ali Kveshov is accused of killing a man and stealing a firearm, reports the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office.
