Chechen Prosecutor's Office demands to block 12 materials on Internet
The Chechnya Prosecutor's Office found 12 materials on the Internet offending religious feelings of believers and filed lawsuits to court to block access to those resources.
On June 7, the lawsuits were filed to the Lenin District Court of Grozny, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by an official from the Prosecutor's Office.
"In accordance with the norms of the Russian legislation, publication of materials that offend the religious feelings of believers, as well as propaganda of hatred and enmity on the basis of national or religious principle, is not allowed. After pronouncement of a court decision, all companies providing Internet communication services in our region will be obliged to block access to those resources. We expect the relevant court decision to be pronounced in the near future," said an official from the Prosecutor's Office.
