Law enforcers detain 29 people in Russia and Azerbaijan pre-border areas
In the course of a joint operation conducted on the two countries' border, law enforcers detained 29 people, who have been wanted, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
According to the MIA, the operation was conducted from May 29 to June 4 "in accordance with the agreement of the two MIAs."
"As a result of the actions that covered the pre-border districts of Dagestan and the Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Balaken, Zagatala, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz and Gabala Districts of Azerbaijan, 29 people were detained, who had been wanted for committing various crimes, including 13 people wanted by Russia. Three persons earlier considered missing, were found," the TASS quotes the MIA of Azerbaijan.
The "Sputnik-Azerbaijan" adds citing the same MIA that "16 crimes committed in the pre-border areas were solved."
