Nagorno-Karabakh soldiers and officers wounded in April war get cars as gifts

In Stepanakert, six soldiers and officers, who were seriously wounded during the April war in 2016, received Niva cars as gifts. The cars were provided from Russia as a charitable aid by Karen Khachatryan, a native of Nagorno-Karabakh.

On June 5, the central square of Stepanakert hosted the solemn ceremony of handing the keys to the new owners of the cars, and it was attended by top-ranking officials of Nagorno-Karabakh, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Karen Khachatryan has stated that he considers that to be his duty to be useful to Nagorno-Karabakh. He has announced his intention to continue his charity activities.

Araik Arutyunyan, Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, has noted that since April 2016, Karen Khachatryan donated dozens of cars to soldiers and officers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army.

Valery Meirabyan, an officer of the Nagorno-Karabakh Army, has expressed his gratitude for the gift and noted that he is ready to continue defending his country.
