Today, the KGB of South Ossetia has reported that law enforcers found a grenade launcher, grenades, and 870 rounds in a local resident's house.

According to the KGB of South Ossetia, on May 3, during a search of a private house in Tskhinvali, a grenade launcher, a grenade fuse, a fragmentation hand grenade with a fuse, and 870 rounds of 5.45 mm calibre were found. The owner of the house has claimed that he found all the above items in one of the Georgian houses during the August events of 2008, reports a message posted on the official page of the KGB of South Ossetia in Facebook.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 8-12, 2008, an armed conflict occurred between Georgia, on the one side, and Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Russia, on the other side. After the military confrontation, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed decrees recognizing the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
