Man wounded at shelling in Ingushetia

A former policeman was hospitalized as a result of shelling in the Nazran District of Ingushetia. The victim was operated on, said a law enforcement source.

The incident occurred this morning on the Yandare-Karabulak motor road.

"Alaudin Mashkhoev, 55, a former policeman, was wounded today as a result of shelling by unidentified persons in the village of Yandare, Nazran District," loca law enforcers have reported.

According to preliminary data, an unidentified man stopped Mashkhoev's car and opened fire at him from small arms. The victim has undergone surgery; he is in the intensive care unit, the TASS reports with reference to a law enforcement source.
