“Rosbalt”: Isa Yamadaev announced wanted on suspicion of attempt on Kadyrov

In March, the Investigating Department (ID) for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) issued an official statement on the federal search of Isa Yamadaev; a search was conducted in the apartment of his family, the “Rosbalt” has reported today referring to a source familiar with the situation. According to his story, Yamadaev has already appealed against the statement.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the prevention of a new one, at least the eighth, attempt on the head of Chechnya became known in September 2016 from the words of Ramzan Kadyrov himself, although later he and his press secretary refuted this information. However, in January 2017, it was announced that the above ID of the ICRF had opened a criminal investigation into the attempt; and three suspects were detained. Investigators believe that members of the Yamadaev family, to which two out of three detainees belong, were the organizers of the failed attempt.

Since March 2017, Isa Yamadaev is on the federal wanted list as a suspect of the failed attempt on Kadyrov; and the court conditionally appointed him a freedom restriction measure – a recognizance not to leave, said the source of the “Rosbalt”. According to the source, the investigators believe that the suspect had planned to kill Kadyrov "since May 2016", "acting out of blood feud," because he considers the head of the republic guilty of the death of his brother, Khalid Yamadaev.

Besides, according to the source, on March 20, a group of Chechen operative agents conducted a search of the apartment of the Yamadaev family in Odintsovo, a town in the Moscow Region, where they found and confiscated a hunting rifle, registered to the suspect.
