Nadezhda Degtyaryova buried in Sochi

The 36-year-old Nadezhda Degtyaryova, who committed suicide after the judgement to evict her out into the street, has been buried in Sochi. Nadezhda's mother blames the persons involved in the alienation of their apartment of her daughter's death.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September 2016 Nadezhda Degtyaryova and her mother reported that their apartment in Sochi was secretly resold. According to Degtyaryovas, other citizens have also suffered from such fraudulent schemes of "black realtors". On the New Year night Nadezhda Degtyaryova attempted suicide and was hospitalized. According to her mother, the state of Nadezhda was affected by threats with a demand to abandon the apartment. On January 27, it became known that Nadezhda Degtyaryova committed suicide.

On January 31, the funeral of Nadezhda Degtyaryova was attended by 15 persons – her relatives, friends and lawyers from the law firm, where she had addressed for help trying to defend her right to the apartment, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Olga Sizonova, the advocate of the Degtyaryova family, has expressed the opinion that a criminal case should be initiated into the death of Nadezhda Degtyaryova; and the apartment should be returned to her mother.

The residents of Sochi, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, stated the need of public control over the activities of law enforcement bodies.

"Nadezhda's death must not be ignored by our society. This is the last drop that should unite us all in the fight against the judicial lawlessness and arbitrariness of law enforcers," Tatiana Kholidi told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
