Student Ruslan Saifutdinov buried without any additional examinations
The mother of the inmate Ruslan Saifutdinov, who died in the city of Kurgan and who had earlier been wanted in Dagestan for participation in the Middle East conflict, refused from further medical examinations of her son's body, in order to immediately bury him according to Muslim traditions. However, the autopsy was made and found no internal injuries, the local department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ruslan Saifutdinov, 24, a former student of the Tyumen Medical Academy, died on January 7 at the medical unit of the penal colony in Kurgan. According to his mother, the young man, who was to leave the colony in less than two weeks, had received threats.
According to the lawyer Gabdulla Isakaev, the grave health condition of Ruslan was reported to his mother by cellmates. The mother then contacted Gabdulla's wife Lyudmila, who is a member of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of the Kurgan Region.
According to Lyudmila Isakaeva, the colony staff refused to let anyone to Saifutdinov under the pretext that there is no one at the weekend to document the entrance to the colony. After a CT scanning, doctors said that there were no grounds for Saifutdinov's hospitalization.
The members of the POC of the Kurgan Region called to the hotline of the social network "Gulagu.net" only on January 8, when it was already impossible to help Saifutdinov, said Vladimir Osechkin, the project manager. He is sure that if POC could have got to Saifutdinov in time, and the details of his health condition would have been made public, the young man's life could have been saved.
