Khuade's defence treats court's refusal to exclude key prosecution evidence as unjustified

The judicial investigation into the case of Adnan Khuade, a Circassian activist, was over on December 23. Earlier, the court refused, with no due reason, to exclude the examination protocol of the policeman's car, drawn up with violations, from the case files. Khuade is accused of bribing the policeman, said his advocate.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Adnan Khuade, a repatriate from Turkey, was accused of an attempt to bribe a GIBDD (traffic police) inspector. His defence asserts that the examination protocol of the police car, in which the bribe was found, contradicts to the video of the examination.

"The time indicated in the protocol says that the examination of the patrol car started at 5:50 and ended at 6:25 p.m. That is, it lasted allegedly for 35 minutes. However, the video, recorded by the camera, installed in the car, clearly shows that the examination lasted for only five minutes," Iland Abregov, the advocate for Adnan Khuade, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"It turns out that the time, specified in the protocol, is contrary to the factual circumstances of the case; therefore, we assert that, according to the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure, the protocol is an inadmissible evidence," said Iland Abregov.

The court, however, has rejected the defence's motion.
