MoE offers to pay Gukovo miners' debts from federal reserve fund

Today, Sergey Mochalnikov, an official from the Russia's Ministry of Energy (MoE), has suggested the authorities of the Rostov Region to turn to the country's leadership for help in paying wage debts to "Kingcoul" miners.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during a rally on November 7 in Rostov-on-Don Gukovo miners accused the governor of failing to fulfil his promises. According to their version, out of 50 million roubles, promised by Governor Vasily Golubev, they received only 20 million.

"I suggest that the regional leaders and State Duma MPs appeal, in parallel, to Russian Premier, asking him to instruct Russia's Finance Ministry to pay the miners' debts from the country's reserve fund," Sergey Mochalnikov, Director of the Department of Coal and Peat Industries of the MoE, has stated today during his working meeting with initiative group of employees of the "Kingcoul" Company in Gukovo.

He explained that the money will be returned to the reserve fund after selling the property of the company, the "Interfax" reports.
