In a camp of the militants killed in the Samur forest, law enforcers found a saw of a local resident, who went to collect firewood and disappeared and who was found dead later. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, starting from September 4, law enforcers carry out a special operation in the Magaramkent District of Dagestan. Three suspected militants were killed in the forest in the vicinity of the village of Samur, including Murad Shamsudinov and Farid Saidov. One law enforcer was killed, and two others were wounded.

Murad Shamsudinov and Farid Saidov were wanted on suspicion of blowing up a car at a GIBDD (road police) checkpoint near the village of Djemikent on February 15. According to the law enforcement bodies, as a result of the explosion, three persons were killed, and other 18 were injured. Besides, Murad Shamsudinov and Farid Saidov might have been involved in killings of hunters in the Suleiman-Stalsky District and a murder of a resident of the Magaramkent District.
