Four Yerevan policemen accused of obstructing journalists' activities

The Special Investigation Service of Armenia has charged two police officers with obstructing the activities of journalists. The number of policemen accused of committing unjustified actions in the course of the protest action has raised to four men.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Armenia, two law enforcers were accused of abuse of power and obstructing the activities of journalists, as well as inflicting damage to other people's property.

Earlier, the Special Investigation Service of Armenia has instituted a criminal case on the use of violence by policemen and their abuse of power during the events in Yerevan in connection with the seizure of the building of the patrol-and-post service of the police regiment. According to the Special Investigation Service of Armenia, some policemen intervene in the activities of the journalists and advocates, who were supposed to provide legal assistance to the detainees.

According to a press officer of the Special Investigation Service of Armenia, the powers of the charged policemen are suspended.
