Claimant in case of kidnapping resident of Ingushetia dissatisfied with ECtHR's decision

Ibragim Tsechoev, the claimant in the case "Tsechoev vs. Russia", is dissatisfied with the decision of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), despite the fact that the court had sided with him. He believes that the court had disregarded his version, set out in the complaint, of the kidnapping in 2012 of his brother Abu-Bakar Tsechoev, a resident of Ingushetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the ECtHR had appointed compensation to relatives of Abu-Bakar Tsechoev in the amount of 20,000 euros, and obliged Russia to reopen the inquiry of the criminal case until its solving.

The material part of the ECtHR's decision is "secondary", Ibragim Tsechoev, a brother of the missing person and the applicant to the court, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, "no money can replace a relative," although he is grateful for the compensation. His claim to the ECtHR is that the court had disagreed with is argument that the kidnapping was committed by so-called "state agents", for example, law enforcers. In his turn, Ibragim Tsechoev believes that his version is confirmed by the witness, who described in detail the car, in which his brother Abu-Bakar was forced away.
