Six suspected militants detained in Ingushetia

Power agents have reported about detection of weapons and ammunition in houses of six persons detained in Ingushetia. The six alleged members of an illegal armed formation (IAF) were detained during a special operation in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, said a source from the press service of the republic's FSB.

According to power agents, the detainees were involved in the "Islamic State" (IS), which is recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization and banned by the court judgement.

At the detainees' residences, power agents found and confiscated an improvised explosive device (IED), components for making IEDs, grenades, a Kalashnikov submachine gun and a large quantity of ammunition, the "Interfax" reports with reference to an employee of the press service of the FSB's Department for Ingushetia.
