Investigators suspect Ali Kveshov, detained on April 18, of involvement in the murder of Magomedgadji Zaidov, the chief engineer of the agricultural company "Sogratl", who was shot dead in the Gunib District in Dagestan on August 20, 2015. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 18, Ali Kveshov was wounded and detained. According to law enforcers, he is the leader of the local militants.

Presumably, the crime has also involved Akhmed Shamkhalov and Shamil Nurmagomedov. The both men had been killed earlier in special operations, report the police.

According to a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Ali Kveshov, born in 1991, became the leader of the "Sogratl" militants grouping after the death of Shamil Nurmagomedov, who was killed in 2015. Akhmed Shamkhalov was killed during a special operation carried out at night of April 14.

The situation in the village of Sogratl is calm, local residents report. According to a man, who introduced himself as Akhmed, there are no more people from the village among members of the illegal armed formation (IAF).
