Kuban farmers film video to inform Vladimir Putin about raider attacks on their land plots

On April 11, about 50 farmers from more than 10 regions of the Krasnodar Territory recorded a collective video message to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a demand to stop raider seizure of land plots in the region. Today, the farmers have sent their video message to Vladimir Putin hot line, which will be held on April 14.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that about 100 farmers from the nine Kuban districts had stated their intention to hold a tractor march to Moscow to convey their appeal to Vladimir Putin, and to draw attention to massive raiders' seizures of land in the territory. On March 27, it was announced that after a meeting with an official of the All-Russian People's Front (ARPF), farmers gave up their intention.

In their video message, the farmers claim that in the territory of Kuban, large agricultural holdings are engaged in massive and fraudulent bankruptcy processes for enterprises and seizure of farms, stock farms, and land plots of general share property. Furthermore, the farmers state that the raided enterprises reduce livestock, utility production, jobs, and wages.

The authors of the video message argue that "Kuban is to the large extent an area for business of A. N. Tkachov, the former governor of Krasnodar Territory, and "Pokrovsky" consortium, with serious budgetary donations and cheap loans."

"And all those violations are being lobbied by district administrations, courts, prosecutor's offices and the police. The courts are able to stop raider attacks, cases of fraudulent bankruptcy, and corruption relations. However, they are engaged in legalization of the lawlessness, and qualification board of judges fails to act. Please help us to achieve compliance with the law and have the opportunity to work on our land," state the farmers in their video message.
