Sources: Ibragimov and Didiev will be released after public criticism at Kadyrov's residence

The detention of Rizvan Ibragimov and Abubakar Didiev has to do with their publicist activities, for public criticism of which they organized a meeting of the head of Chechnya with scientific intellectuals, and public and religious figures of the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 1, in Grozny, the Chechen publicists Ibragimov and Didiev were detained. The detentions were undertaken after the criticism plunged on Ibragimov's historical concepts by state officials.

Ibragimov and Didiev have been detained for their publicist works, which have "anti-religious aspects," said a source of the "Caucasian Knot".

According to a source close to the Chechen scientific community, today the Kadyrov's residence will host a meeting of the head of Chechnya with scientific intellectuals, activists of civil society and religious leaders of the region, which plans criticize Ibragimov and Didiev.

According to the source, it is planned that the detainees themselves will be present at the meeting. "After that, they will most probably be released," said the source.

Let us remind you that the disappearance of Ibragimov and Didiev was the second incident related to disappearance of intellectuals after March 31. On that day, two unidentified men kidnapped the poet and singer Hussein Betelgeriev from his house in the neighbourhood of Kalinin in Grozny.
