Film "Ceasefire" about Nagorno-Karabakh conflict shown in Azerbaijan
The documentary film "Ceasefire", created by Hungarian filmmaker Erik Bognar, which is devoted to the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, has been first shown in the Azerbaijani language.
The film was presented in the cinema centre "Nizami" in Baku.
The filming and translation were carried out with the participation of the Hungarian "Turan" Foundation and the International Eurasia Press Fund with the financial support of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan, the "trend.az" reports on February 17.
The "Ceasefire" is a joint work of Azerbaijani and Hungarian journalists. The film tells the audience about the everyday life of Nagorno-Karabakh, and it also covered the events of the Azerbaijan's modern history and pictures from the everyday life of Azerbaijanis. Furthermore, the film also reflects the opinion of experts from the US, France, Germany, and Hungary on the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, the "azertag.az" reports.
The film is based on the scenario written by Andras Biro, Chairman of the Hungarian "Turan" Foundation. The first run of the film took place in Budapest in the Hungarian language in December 2015.
Gabor Szabo, the director of the film, spoke about the friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Hungary. He has also added that the film is a message to the world.
