In Sochi, family with minor girl evicted to street from vacant municipal house

In Sochi, by the court decision, pronounced at the lawsuit of the Mayor's Office, bailiffs evicted members of one family: a father, his 20-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter on the street from a municipal house vacant for many years, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The father of the family has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he was deprived of housing after the demolition of their house located in Titov Street in the Zavokzalny residential district. In 2011, the house was demolished for the construction of a road-doubler, one of the Olympic facilities. The man was paid compensation in the amount of 1.4 million roubles.

"I did not know what to do and where to go with children with such a small amount of money. Officials from the Mayor's Office sent me to developer Megrikyan, who was building a house in Vertolyotny Lane. I trusted him and recommendations of officials from the Mayor's Office City, and I bought one of apartments in his house under the contract. However. he embezzled my money, and the administration, which earlier gave him a chance to build a house and collect money from people like me, filed a lawsuit, and the court ordered to demolish the house. So, I was left with no housing, no money and no housing prospects with two, then minor, children to be cared of," said the man.

According to his story, he appealed to the Mayor's Office and asked to allocate a house to him because of the situation he got to. He was allocated housing; however, then the contract of leasehold was cancelled through the court.

The head of the family has noted that he intends to appeal to the General Prosecutor's Office in connection with the situation.
