In Chechnya, two policemen dismissed because of video showing falsification of evidence
Two staff members of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were dismissed after residents of Chechnya had disseminated in social networks a video which depicted the policemen while drinking beverages in a passenger car. This has been told today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a MIA's official. The video shows how one of the policemen leaves the car, puts cans of beverages on a hood and a boot of a nearby car and makes photos of them with a mobile phone camera.
"Meanwhile, the voice-over says that policemen use this way to create troubles for an innocent person, that they 'make figures', and that the innocent owner of the car will then be detained and charged with consumption of alcoholic drinks while driving a car," the MIA's official has said.
According to him, the policemen depicted on the video, as well as those persons who made the video, have been identified and invited to a meeting with the MIA's top-ranking officials.
"The chiefs of the Chechen MIA treated the behaviour of the policemen as unworthy. And yesterday, both of the policemen have been dismissed from their positions," the MIA's official has noted.
