On anniversary of 1992 conflict, Ingush NGOs call on to help force migrants

Today, residents of Ingushetia and North Ossetia have brought flowers to the monument to victims of the Ossetian-Ingush conflict of 1992. Till present, thousands of force migrants are still unable to return to their houses in Vladikavkaz and in the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia. This was stated by the Coordinating Council of NGOs in Ingushetia.

"During 23 years, thousands of Ingush natives of Ingush villages from the Prigorodny District and Vladikavkaz cannot return to their houses, and many of them have to live in intolerable conditions within a 20-kilometre area from their homeland, while waiting for the return home. The problems concerning the return of force migrants to their houses or the allocation of housing to them are not being addressed in any way," emphasizes the statement as quoted by Magomed Mutsolgov, Chairman of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) of Ingushetia, in his blog at the "Caucasian Knot".
