Court finds Nadezhda Tsapok guilty of land fraud

The Kuschevsky District Court in the Krasnodar Territory has found Nadezhda Tsapok, the former head and founder of the company "Artex-Agro", guilty of large-scale fraud of embezzling 770 hectares of land.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nadezhda Tsapok is already serving her sentence in colony on fraud charges. The trial on the second criminal case dealing with a land fraud, where she is the defendant, began on March 20.

The court has sentenced her to 6.5 years in a general security colony, said the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory.

The second figurant of the criminal case Ekaterina Stukalo, a former lawyer of the "Artex-Agro", was sentenced to 3 years in a general security colony with a deferred sentence until her minor child reaches the age of 14, the RBC reports.

Sergey Medvedev, Nadezhda's advocate, intends to appeal against the verdict, the "Interfax" reports. During the pleadings Tsapok totally rejected all the accusations.

Nadezhda's son Sergey Tsapok was the leader of the so-called "Tsapok gang", whose members were found guilty of the massacre committed in the village of Kuschevskaya and a number of other crimes. He was sentenced to life imprisonment; and on July 7, he was found dead in his cell.
