Andrei Rudomakha reports on possible transfer of ecologist Evgeny Vitishko to common-security penal colony

Ecologist Evgeny Vitishko sentenced in the case of damage to the fence around the so-called "Governor Tkachov's summer cottage" is being prepared for the transfer from a penal settlement-colony to a common-security penal colony. This was announced by Andrei Rudomakha, the coordinator of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch).

According to Andrei Rudomakha, Evgeny Vitishko is likely to be transferred to a common-security penal colony in the coming days. So far, the exact justification for the ecologist's transfer to the common-security penal colony is still unknown. According to the coordinators of the EcoWatch, family members and advocates of Evgeny Vitishko have not been yet officially notified.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after his arrival in the penal settlement-colony, the sentenced ecologist appealed to the Prosecutor's Office in connection with the massive violations of the rights of prisoners. In late May, in his blog on the "Live Journal", Evgeny Vitishko wrote about a search conducted in the settlement-colony, during which staff members of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) were beating the prisoners and then sent them to a punishment cell. According to Valentina Shaisipova, the ecologist's advocate, Evgeny Vitishko managed to improve the conditions of the prisoners.
