Leonid Roshal, the Director of the Moscow Institute of Children's Emergency Surgery and Traumatology, told today the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the girl of four, who was beaten up in Grozny, is in grave condition and cannot be transported to Moscow.

The girl was taken to the reception ward of the Second Children's Hospital of Grozny on July 19 in an unconscious state. Her stepmother Marina B., 23, was detained on suspicion of beating the child.

Ruslan M., a policeman of the Oktiabrskiy ROVD of Grozny, informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about the details of the tragedy on condition of anonymity.

According to his story, Marina B. said at the interrogation that she was about to bathe her stepdaughter; however, the latter behaved capriciously and hit her stepmother. "I don't know what happened to me next – I began beating her," the sources quoted the stepmother's confession, and added that "the developments were watched by the elder stepdaughter named Zulikhan, who told the police that Marina B. threw the girl onto the floor; she grabbed her by the hand and beat against the wall."

Marina B., the suspect of beating the child, was detained, a source from the press service of the head of Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
