Bodies of five casualties of bus fall found in Dagestan
Two of the seven persons missing after the fall of a minivan in the Tsuntin District of Dagestan have been found dead. As a result, the death toll now makes five persons, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The road accident occurred on Wednesday near the village of Sagada, Tsuntin District. An UAZ minivan, while driving along a dangerous road section, fell into a 40-meter-deep abyss with a mountain river at the bottom. There were 17 people in the minivan, including eight children. Seven passengers, including two children, have survived. Three were found dead, and seven others were missing, said the republic's Centre of Disaster Medicine.
According to a source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the fall of the minivan into the abyss was caused by a rockslide. According to his story, the driver and two passengers who came out to clear the road were not hurt; six more passengers are in hospital.
