Rostov journalist Reznik states fabrication of evidence in his case

Today, at consideration of the appeal, the defence of the Rostov journalist Sergey Reznik, convicted for bribery, betrayal and insulting an official, has drawn the court's attention to inconsistencies in the case materials; the defendant himself has stated the fabricated evidence, said Vladislav Ryazantsev, the coordinator of the "Left-Wing Front" in the Rostov Region.

He told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that at today's consideration of the appeal complaint, the defence, in particular, has stated that the forensic examination of the bribery episode began before the respective order was issued; and the person who signed the card of technical examination of Reznik's car had no power to do this.

Reznik himself participated in the session by means of video conference. "He said that the victims of the episode of false accusation knew a lot of information, owned only by the police; and this fact indicates the fabrication of their testimonies. He once again pointed to the customized nature of his case," said Ryazantsev.
