Woman from Izberbash states that policeman used force against her and questioned without summon

Zarema Magomedova, a resident of Izberbash town in Dagestan, has appealed to rights defenders with a complaint about the actions of the city policemen, who, according to her story, forced her into the police for interrogation without a summon.

The woman writes in her application to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" that on October 1 a criminal search agent came to her home and demanded that Zarema went with him to the police department. After she refused, he grasped her arm and forcibly dragged out of the doorway.

According to the woman, the agent dragged her to the car, put her down into the mud and began calling for the patrol unit. When the latter arrived, they put Zarema seated into an office UAZ-van and took to the Izberbash GOVD (City Interior Division).

At interrogation, she was asked about her sister named Aisha (Alphia), who had allegedly appeared in the city and was preparing a terror act. "I explained to them that since she left 4-5 years ago, I haven't seen her," Zarema Magomedova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Coming out of the GOVD, she went to a forensic expert to fix the received haematomas and bruises. Zarema Magomedova said that she now fears power agents' persecution for her complaint.
