The lawyers participating in Budanov’s case demanded witness Evtukhov’ reconduction to court

During the trial on the case of colonel Yuri Budanov’s murder in Moscow city court the attorneys of defendant Yusup Temerkhanov demanded witness Alexander Evtukhov’ reconduction for interrogation in court. The court dismissed the motion of the defence.

Defendant Yusup Temerkhanov and his attorney also entered a motion of disclosure of Evtukhov’s evidence given during preliminary investigation for the reason that “the defence did their best to secure his appearance in court but his location has not been found out as of the moment and is unknown to the defence”.

On January, 18, Yusup Temerkhanov’s defence accused secret services of kidnapping witness Alexander Evtukhov who earlier did not recognize the defendant as murderer. However, Evtukhov himself denied the information of his disappearance. On January, 24, it became known that Alexander Evtukhov was provided with state defence.

Besides, Musaev suggested the court to “inquire for Evtukhov’s location from the officials who were aware of it and spoke about the case on the TV and other mass media (On January, 24, official representative of Committee of Inquiry Vladimir Markin stated on several TV channels that Evtukhov never disappeared and only changed his phone number – note by the “Caucasian Knot”).

Public Prosecutor Maria Semenenko, in her turn, asked the court to send a new summons to Evtukhov to observe all the necessary procedures and not to take any compulsive measures for his appearance in court.

Judge Andrey Korotkov dismissed both motions of the defence, agreed with the position of Public Prosecutor’s office and sent the witness a new summons.
